Inglourious Basterds (yes that's the way it is supposed to be spelled) is a fictitious World War II film released in 2009. It consists of a group of Jewish Americans, who call themselves the basterds. They are a special military operation unit that has forced themselves to be savage and barbaric towards the German soldier as a strategy to intimidate them. They have bigger plans in mind once they hear of the screening of a film in theater full of German officers. They then have the intention of blowing the theater up to kill as many as they can. On the side, the owner of the theater is also Jewish and is living in France, concealing her identity. She also would like to sabotage the Germans big night by burning her own theater to the ground with 300 Nazis and Adolf Hitler inside. They succeed in the end and kill Hitler however this was not the way the war ended in real life.
